They are thin metal grids placed on the teeth for years. This disadvantage is that they are clearly visible. They need to stay on for about two years.

Clear Braces

These braces are popular because they fit behind or over the teeth. They are made with a transparent material, so they are not seen by others. However, the big advantage is that they can be removed easily to help clean and floss teeth. Like metal braces, clear braces also need to be used for about two years.

Cost

Braces for adults are more expensive than braces for kids. Prince range is from $5000 to $7000. This is because it is harder to fit braces on adult teeth than for children. Sometimes oral surgery is involved. In an adolescent, jaw, and teeth and still growing and that makes braces easier to apply.
